PROJECT 3: Norfolk
DESCRIPTION:
This was a single family property that needed minor work, as opposed to a full gut renovation. Although we usually hold properties as rentals this was one property that we flipped. Since it cost more to rent in this area than it does to buy, this property sold quickly to a first time homeowner.
CHALLENGE:
Since a full renovation wasn’t required, the challenge was how to have the finished product look brand new so it would sell quickly.
SOLUTION:
We focused on the 2 most important rooms in the house, the kitchen and bathroom. We gutted the bathroom and redesigned the layout. In the kitchen, we kept the cabinets, but replaced everything else. We put new fixtures and carpet in the bedrooms and new hardwood floor in the living & dining area.
